I work for a large company with over 100 manufacturing plants in the US (and world wide) with both union and non-union (our plant) operations. In the past 10 years, our plant cut health care benefits, raised premiums. Vacation time can no longer be scheduled by the employee unless management approves the days off. A fellow employee (over 30 years with the Co.,had 4 weeks earned time), took off for doctors tests: the company refused his use of vacation, wrote him up for attendence. Sad but true.

Those that hate Unions or any solidarity are just lazy & lack ambition. Your just spineless whiners posting on message boards lacking ambition or any real contribution. You go ahead & settle for your Walmart jobs & lack of good benefits. The rest of us fighting?!?! We want whats due & fight for the better & those who want help but lack the support. We dont roll over.... Ruff ruff you puppies.

@yukmouthphx602 Fuck you, fuck your begging for an understanding of unions. I have heard it all: child labor, fair hours, vacations, abuse. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go fuck yourself and your union too. Fucking unions, do nothing good for the economy, nothing at all. Believe me, if I cross the line and you try to do something to me, uhhh man, I would take care of you in a beat. Fuck you, and fuck your union.

Fuck unions. Fuck you if you belong to a sorry ass fucking union. All of you motherfuckers that belong to any fucking union, you're nothing but fucking lazy motherfucker, drug fucking addicts, problematic, always late on the job, disrespectful to customers and managers and supervisors. Fucking unions, the root of our economy ills. Yeah, argue all you fucking want motherfuckers, when you fucking strike you fuck people over. So, fuck you.

@Sideler74 You're probably right. If the framing is good, usually the drywall comes out good. However, there are some assholes that just don't give a fuck. The point is, there isn't any excuse for poor workmanship, regardless of what you get paid. If you agreed to do the work and the expectation is "paint ready" , you should provide it.
-
@rrhynes: If you saw what it looked like you'd be shocked.
-
@Sideler74 Oh okay. You didn't hire them directly. Well, the best thing to do next time is just tell the asshole General that he ain't gettin' paid if it doesn't look perfect. Believe me, even dumbass wetbacks can finish drywall.
-
@rrhynes: ? So your saying that the drywallers weren't getting paid what they wanted? They were hired by the GC to do the job (subcontracted) & they SUCKED.
-
@Sideler74 If you had offered to pay the other drywallers the same wages, I have no doubt they could do just as good a job. In fact, you wouldn't have had to meet the same wages, just asked them to do it right. Union workers should do perfect work, they're getting paid to do it that way. It isn't like they're doing you favor.

@yukmouthphx602 When Unions advocate violence, they invite it in return. Blocking public roads and walkways isn't the same as standing in front of the gates at Kaiser Steel Yard. You're not supposed to be standing in the fucking road.
Unionists get what they deserve. I applaud all scabs for undermining the collective bargaining process and rights of union workers. Unions days are numbered and their influence, leverage, and membership rolls continue to plummet.

You know back in my grandfathers days, the weak and helpless would have to creat or join unions just to get an honest days pay, today The lazy and pathedic use it as a way to not work but get paid.
