seriously choose blu-ray(25GB) over HD-dvd(only 15GB) it's better it has a larger storage and much more....check out this page for info:

We're talking about games here not fucking movies! all bluray does is give you less discs but it does not effect the quality of the games.

Sorry but Bluray has not made a big impact like DVD and it certainly has not defeated the 360 which as popular as ever. The bluray player in the PS3 is old, you are better to get a stand alone player.

Ps3 sucks for blu-ray playback! "." It only supports PCM!!!! Get Bit Stream hdmi 1.3 players that let your high-end receiver decode it, not your junky ps3.

You don't want to use a Ps3 for a Blu-Ray player if you have HiFi audio gear. First of all the Ps3 has crapy software decoding V.s. hardware decoding on high end recivers. The Ps3 has a blu-ray remote total JOKE when you want to use wall mouted tuch screens or uni remotes for custom installs. The Sony BDP-S500 will also update firmware off eathernet now. No need for USB firmware updates or dvd / cd. Its also 2.0 out of the box.
