great video guys. North manitou doesnt have a lot of deer but still a great place to hunt. Good job on the trophies.

If you really want meat, shoot a doe. Or buy a cow. The time and money you put into hunting doubles the price of buying meat, so DONT tell me you hunt because you "need" the meat. Please get educated and and start using some quality deer managment, and stop depleating MI of its deer heard even worse than you already have, its not fair to those that actually care about hunting for the future and look at the bigger picture. Instead of being selfish and shooting these little guys just to shoot them

Actually you guys shooting bambis are the reason that there are fewer hunters AND fewer deer in MI. it said 14 bucks in a number of years? give me a break. let them grow so they can breed and there will be more and bigger deer, geniuses.... that goes for all of MI. That old school way of hunting and shooting everything has GOT TO GO. The uneducated non-conservation like hunters are the reason that hunting in MI is the way it is and its hurting the sport, driving hunters away.

@deerslayer2446 You can shoot whatever you want, just don't expect me to do the same. Every deer is a trophy in one form or another and I'm not ashamed of what I shoot. Its called hunitng for a reason, not bragging. Some of my best memories are of deer taken that are considered bambi's in your book. My 1st deer, my sons 1st deer, my Dad's last deer before he died, and any deer taken on Manitou Island. I don't judge other hunters by what they shoot. You shouldn't either. Good Luck

@NManitou Why am I an example of why there are less hunters? I hunt an area were we all do QDM and the schools take NOV. 15 off due to no kids. Your right 120 are not trophies, I never claimed to shoot trophies only, just dont shoot bambi's. I also stated over 120 not 120 excact! Dont be made at me because I called you out and you know I am right, and instead of admitting I have a valid point you try to justify yourself. Didnt say you had to shoot Monster bucks, just let the little bucks go

@deerslayer2446 120 inches is not a big buck, so you can't even practice what you preach. If you are a so called trophy hunter than don't shoot anything even close to 120. Come on, you can't do any better than 120! If you must know, I have shot plenty of big bucks if all they have to be is 120. I have also shot lots of does, spikes, 3pt, 4 pt, 5 pt, and so on. You are a prime example why there are fewer hunters in Michigan

@NManitou I would bet that if a spike at 100 pounds walked in front of you and a doe at 160 pounds walked in front of you, you would probably shoot that spike so dont use the cant eat the horns B.S!! Glad the guys around my farm let little bucks go, I cant see bragging about a year old spike. much rather brag about a 3 year old 10 pt.

@NManitou You are a prime example why Michigan is not known for big bucks like other states. We have dinks like you who would rather shoot a little buck just to say you shot a buck then to be patient and let them go. I dont shoot bucks smaller then 8 pts with good mass and wider then the ears. I have shoot 3 bucks in 5 years over 120 in. not monsters but better then that 2inch spike.
