@kevaughanshiu It's built and designed in Israel (by the legendary Uziel Gal). Story is after Israel's war for statehood in 1948, a large # of AK's were procured from the enemy, IMI quickly found why it was so reliable (long stroke gas piston) but its defects. So they built the Galil, which improvements over the AK include a longer sight radius and a larger charging handle to make reloading easier.
