We act like all of today's music is despicable but we'll look back at it 10 years from now and marvel at how good it was and how nostalgious we feel when listening to it.

Plus there are a lot of songs that came out in that 100yr span you provided we hate with the same fervor we do some of today's songs. And the reason why new music will never be like "old" music is because the new keeps evolving while the old stays the same.
