A video camera on the left solid rocket booster looking up captures the launch of space shuttle Discovery, booster separation from the shuttle and the fall towards the Atlantic Ocean.

Discovery is clearly visible with its external tank during ascent after the booster separates.

  • It goes so fast to get in space.

  • Those are thruster rain covers meant to come off....

  • There was some debris that came off of the orbiter during liftoff.
