LOCKHEED MARTIN F-22a RAPTOR DEMO (airshowvision)

Here is Major Dave "Zeke" Skalicky demonstrating why the F-22 is the most feared combat aircraft the World has ever seen.

This is the European public debut performance, following the cancellation of the 2008 RIAT show, although it did perform a practise display before the cancellation, and another at Farnborough Trade day in 2008.

This display, flown by Dave "Zeke" Skalicky won 3 awards at RIAT 2010, despite being sadly unchanged since 2008, but at least this year it was sunny! (on occasion)

Watch the aircraft use its thrust vectoring to perform seemingly impossible maneouvers, including the "tail slide" where the aircraft appears to fly backwards, as well as some stunning vertical climbs, the sensational power loop, and Hoover Pitch.

This was very much the highlight of the RIAT 2010 show and is a demo which will be talked about for many a year amongst the IAT aithful I am sure.

Most of the commentators miss the point. If you could build a Piper Cub with this plane's STEALTH characteristics, it would destroy any opposition, because the opposition can't find it. That is until someone develops a detection system to detect stealth aircraft. Then it becomes a piece of trash...
