Raise The Red Lantern - Zhao Jiping : 大紅燈籠高高掛 - 趙季平 OST

At times... only music can really satisfy my soul. On first hearing this I absolutely loved it from start, middle to end. It tells a different story on every listening. How I acquired it is one those YT 'special' moments that come along when most needed.

I would welcome any information regarding the recording artists as have yet to find out who is responsible for this gorgeous piece of music and singing. The film from where it comes from 'Raise The Red Lantern' is a firm favourite for its visual content, acting, expressions, themes explored/revealed and everything else.

I share because I enjoyed it so much and it was removed by the original uploader here a few months ago. It is also a contribution to a little piece of peace and tranquility.

The montage has been kept simple... stills from the film and a few bits and pieces from my own humble Chinese collection here at home...

Enjoy! I would recommend watching and reading up on this masterpiece of which I will assign more credit to soon. For now though it's sadly 'lanterns out' for me at this moment in time : )

@musicyarte My son took a journey to Shanghai a few years back and the family he stayed with sent me gifts although we have never met... except for their son/brother who was a stranger to our shores and now a cherished friend to my whole family here...

The Temple in one photo here was high up in the mountains... a place I will never get to visit... but like this music... presents a magical world indeed : )
