If I was to be immortal, I would need someone else to share in my immortality, or else I wouldn't be into it. The worst thing I'd do is probably bring all life to near extinction, but I could never make all life extinct.

I would watch all of kent hovinds videos in one sitting to be immortal! Oh and another badasses video please.

i would like to see the Badasses of science

I'd like to live as long as I care to, but not forever, so long as it's in good health (I remember the movie "Death Becomes Her").

What would I do to gain immortality? Nothing that would harm other people. Miracles from stem cell research would be nice. You're the future doctor, so I'll have to see what you and your colleagues can devise!

I am a scholar. Languages are my specialty. I often say that it would take me at least a thousand years to adequately study all the languages and finish all the projects I have already started to study and write about. I could probably continue for many thousands of years: studying, analyzing, writing. I am a sponge for knowledge and I like teaching as well. As long as there are languages and cultures to study, and as long as there are people who want to learn, I could live and be happy.

yep, id want that kind of immortality.
the kind of quasi-immortality that is still open to death from damage, or rather, not dieing of old age.

I always think of J.R.R Tolkien when someone asks about long and meaningless life versus a short and fulfilling life. Take the humans and the elves from Tolkien's world.
At one point in one of his books an elf explains how he envies the humans for their short and passionate lives and the mystery of death knowing quite well that he himself will live forever. The fear of death is what corrupted the human race.

PS: I wouldn't mind some of that jellyfish-style immortality where you get to be young again. And the worst thing I'd do to get it is MURDER (a jellyfish). There can only be one!
