  • I always overcook turn 11 in the game, too. I find it's far easier in real life to get the braking just right for that turn.

  • I think my GT4 time in a similarly-configured Evo is 1:40 but I haven't played it much.

  • Thanks. Traffic notwithstanding, I was running about a 1:44 pace. Both car and driver have progressed further since; I expect to be a few seconds faster next time I'm there.

  • Sound is partly a limitation of the recording camera (Pentax Optio MX4) which has terrible sound recording quality (8kHz mono) and the wind noise didn't help either. Recompressing the sound a few times further degraded it.

  • I got those gloves.. LOL in black :D

  • oh! so how was the brakes at the end? what were u using?

  • hey man... is there a special qualification in order to log laps in laguna seca? are there sessions/time the track is available to the public?

  • very impressive driving. yellow Lotus ends up in the dirt just after turn 2. lol i thought it was pretty funny. anways great stuff

  • heh, quite close amazingly, with my evo 6, with abit more horses though...averaging 1:40 also. i kinda always screw up the last corner heh.

  • correction..not the chicane but the 'corkscrew' heh..dunno if that can be regarded as a chicane

  • hmm i'll go try it out with the evo i have (well it is then again a game, but what the heck..i'm in asia)i'll try also try out your line thru the chicane, i usually try to attempt it as flat as i can but my exit speed really suffers.. anyways i might sound like a noob but then again i am one since all the racing i get is thru the tv screen heh. but Gran Turismo is still one heck of a driving simulator.
