They have to unload the pyro. It's too dangerous to try and take the pyro out; it could go off and seriously injure the technicians. And they can't just leave it there to get rained on. So they have to get it shot off and remove the shells for the next day

i was there once for my bday and they did the preshow and then over the speaker they go "Okay folks thats it bye" damn it

@albert1234o That is such a lie. Why on earth would they waste such expensive fireworks for a 3 minute show just to "satisfy the guests"? Yes, Walt Disney World does like to please their guests, but it is still a company, looking to make a profit. If it is raining outside fireworks cannot be "left for next time" they must be set off. If the fireworks COULD be kept until the next day, it would be must more cost efficient to announce that the show had been cancelled.

@dirtynileystories not necessarily they dont have to shoot them they are able to leave them there for next time nothing will happen to them they cover them Walt Disney World just wants to satisfy there guest i used to work at Disneyland and when ever the fireworks from the castle were cancelled due to rain or high winds they were just left alone or repacked until the next day

@dirtynileystories yah.. they should do a mini World of Color Show wen it rains xD

@albert1234o that's not true actually. The reason they do this is because once pyrotechnics are set up for a show, they MUST be set off.
-
@disneyphyco It would be nice to think so, but the actual real reason behind Disney doing this is that once the fireworks are set up for a show, they must be set off, so they set them all off within 4 minutes instead of the original 25 minute show, and cast members aren't needed.

that of course only works if your stage has enough effects to create a backup show :)
-
err what ?
they do that because diney realizes "hey these people payed for a show and wasted time waiting for a show thats not gonna play so we'll give them are own firework show!"

I'm sorry guys but when I went to this, I was very disappointed. I thought that it would be longer than a half hour, I thought there would be more scenes with Mickey and the villains, and lastly I thought there was a lack in fireworks. From the reviews of it, I seriously thought that it would be better and it really let me down. It was not what I read about and there was not that much action. I'm sorry if I hurt any of your guys's feelings, but this is my own opinion.

hmm... an in park show that is included in the entrance fee shoudln't be longer than 30min, everything else is of course personal taste
