With City Motor (or other rebuild shops) you want to tell them that its for marine use and ensure they put an RV/Marine cam in. Boats and RVs require low RPM, high torque cam profiles. You will also want brass freeze plugs installed. Aside from those things a marine long block and automotive long block are very similar. The difference is sparkproof accessories (starter, alternator, etc) because fuel vapor can settle in the engine bilge and explode.
