Its /vlʃɑ:ˌkhɑ:ˌpʌtˌnəm/ Visakhapatnam or you can simply call it as Vizag (/vaɪˌzɑ:g/)....
Believe me ...its the most rocking city in India.......

Haha. I just had a project to do for my Geography class on a city in India. My group chose this because it seemed so funny sounding.

noooo!!!!! im from THE u.s. but my dad works for an oil company and tehyre doing work in india. so im in india now. and we live in Visakhapatnam and i thoughti shouldlet you know that your pronouncing it completelya t utterly wrong LOL!!!!
but its ok it was a stretch for em at first buta fetr being here 10 months i can say it perfect and speak some telegu-the regional language of this area.
