Saturday, Sept 5th, 2009 my parents celebrate their 50th anniversary and their commitment to each other as well as to my home town of Westville. I've been sorting through old photos and video in an effort to put a DVD together for them to celebrate their life together. My father ran a garage since long before I came on the scene, so for me I grew up at a garage, and greatly enjoyed my childhood spent at that garage. Here's a quick clip showing some images from that experience.
I had helped my father twice restore the 63 Ford 4X4 from the frame up and enjoyed driving it to high school where my friends nicknamed it "The Animal".... Last we knew it has made it's way to Texas. The 1935 MapleLeaf tow truck was a fixture at the garage until my father retired and sold it. Last we knew it was in Truro, NS.
Just wanted to say "thank-you" for all the old clips of Westville. My dad is from Westville and hasn't been home in 15yrs, (and is unable to travel now) so this was really sentimental to him. He remembers your parents and wants to say congrats!!! July 1st was a bigtime for our family...packing up and heading to Aunt Dot's every summer & watching the parade...ooohhh the memories!!! Take care
