The unfortunate thing about this song is that it contains possibly the Clash's worst lyrical verse ever: "Don't use the rules/ They're not for you, they're for the fools/ And you're a fool if you don't know that/ So use the rules you stupid fool" Makes me cringe every time. I try to comfort myself by pretending that Bernie Rhodes wrote it. LOL

could be the best song on the album. It goes kinda psychedelic. By far the most hippie-type song on the album, despite the lyrics. You're hearing the link with the Velvet Underground etc on this one.

@gruad999 Right, yeah I see what youre saying. IMO, Topper's beats were more complex and technical, which is where the clash were going after their self titled..Terry def was a great punk drummer though.
