  • This is the the Bosko version of the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit short, Ozzie of the Mounted.

  • @SuperJewTV1

Disney never worked for Fleischer Studios and Bosko was the creation of Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising in '28. Disney had his own studios since D1.

I do not know how old you are but your art teacher told you wrong. Disney worked on the Alice series ( live action/animation) and Oswald before Mickey Mouse. Disney worked with Iwerks and got started early on. The Fleischer Brothers were based out fo NYC and Disney worked in California. I knew that without taking an art class!

  • @canonet17 no, Bosko was made by Fleischer Studios where Walt Disney worked. Right after Bosko was made, Disney quit Fleischer and created Mickey Mouse. i took an art history class on this.

  • @SuperJewTV1 Actually, it was the other way around as the guys who produced the first Looney Tunes orignally worked for Disney in the earlier 1920s. Same goes for Friz Freleng. In a sense, Disney's folks got Warner Bros. Animation off the ground in 1930.

  • the idea for mickey mouse was actually stolen from bosko.

  • Bosko's thinking "yes shotgun!!!!"

  • OMG! It's Peg-leg Pete!!! This may not be Disney, but just as Bosco's and Foxy's girls were a Minnies, this guy is definately a Pete.

  • They had to, 'canonet', because the Warner Bros. name and logos HAD to be eliminated from the TV prints- unfortunately, Guild Films went the "generic" route in their refilmed titles, taking images of Porky, Daffy and several "minor" LT characters (including one of "Scottish rabbits" from 1943's "Hop and Go") and creating a "montage" title {"See, 'Looney Tunes', kiddies!"}.

  • It's a shame that Guild Films cut out the original title cards for their second rate cards.

  • Kicking ass and dancing is all a sheriff needs to do.
