Best viewed in HiDef if possible, though YouTube admits that the 720p format is still in beta and may be jerky and out of sync on a slow connection.

This ersatz pirate sea song "The Derelict" (also known as "Fifteen Men on a Dead Man's Chest" or "Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum") is from the poem "The Derelict" by Young E. Allison (1853-1932), first set to music for the 1901 Broadway musical of "Treasure Island". Allison's poem is based on an expansion of the famous four lines of chorus sung by the character of Billy Bones in the Robert Louis Stevenson book "Treasure Island". It has been used in many later works of art in various forms and has recently been re-popularized by Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean."
