Featuring Vivaldi's Gloria
Originally composed for the women and girls of the Venetian Ospedali (orphanages), Melodia will give a rare performance of the Gloria in the way it was heard in Vivaldi's day -- with women's voices and instrumentalists.
Plus the world premiere of new commissioned work by Becca Schack: In My End is My Beginning, a setting of excerpts from TS Eliot's Four Quartets.

Mendelssohn is a semitone Flat but good balance. Choral conductors with batons never really get crisp diction (word endings) but this is an attractive sampler selection.
