totally agree with you. SPs tenor voice is amazing and effortless, but to sell now in the music business you also have to capture the younger generation. i guess the oldies prefer SP, but the younger generation now prefer APs husky tenor voice. Plus APs voice is more energetic, versatile, and piercing! SPs sound, perfect for ballads but so 80s. I bet he doesnt sound the same anymore.

AP captured the oldies and plus the younger generation now!!! SP's voice is awesome but his style is so 80s! There was magic during SP, but with AP now, there's not only MAGIC but also REVIVAL!!! Not all bands can pull that off! Its all about the music

neal schon just knows how to do marketing. of course arnel has to redo the oldies of journey, songs that made them famous, that's just normal, but haven't you heard "after all these years"? that one is arnel's original version. and if you do a little further in your research, you'll know that arnel has his own compositions back in the philippines. he's been in the industry decades ago.
