PC specs below. Gameplay of the sequel to the popular mid 90's First Person Shooter, duke nukem 3D. This is gameplay of the demo version map highway battle part 2 and i'm playing it on a fairly old rig which is a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop. Even though it's nearly 3 years old, it runs pretty smooth (28-32 frames per second) on high settings

PC specs:
* CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 (2Ghz, 2MB Cache L2)
* RAM: 3GB 667Mhz DDR2
* GPU: Nvidia Geforce 8600m GT
* VRAM: 256MB dedicated, 1.28GB Shared
* HARD DRIVE: Western Digital 250GB 5400rpm
* OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit

Game settings
* 960x600 resolution
* Vsync is on
* High Textures
* High Shadows
* Character and World shadows are on
* AA, motion blur and Film Grain are off
* Post Special Effects are on

  • @DannyV1991 yes you can, i paid 148 Eur, just need to receive it and install it

  • @eivis13 you can upgrade a laptop's cpu? it won't be cheap...

  • @DannyV1991 i will just need a new processor (t9500 YAY <3)

  • @eivis13 get windows 7! It's optimised for dual core systems and it supports directx111 so shadows and shaders will look more realistic

  • @DannyV1991 i'm running WinXP and i've been doing that for the past year or so and the only trouble i've had is PC crashes when i'm playing @138.74%

    EDIT: For the past few days i've been playing Stalker:SoC, NFS:Shift,CSS and NFS:World @ 640/539 didn't have a PC crash(only some CSS crashes)

  • @eivis13 overclock a laptop GPU by 38%? that's risky as hell mate, not only does it make the PC crash, but it shortens the life span of your laptop. My 8600m GT came overclocked to begin with. memory speed was increased by dell @ 15% and it's still running fine. It used to crash heaps on windows vista, but windows 7 fixed the issues

  • @DannyV1991 overclock the GPU 30-38% and you should get similar results, but after a whole day of this kind of overclock there is a chance the PC will crash

  • @eivis13 really? wow not bad man. The 8600m GT is an awesome graphics card but it struggles at higher resolutions

  • get this i had 4gb of ram and everything except the hdd the same, but i ran this game at ~30fps @1440x900 and everything else somewhere mid-high

  • Cool Video game ! Thumbs Up !!
