This song definitely belongs to Skip. Jimmy, Muddy or Lightnin' don't even come close. Awesome guitar pickin.

@mystinger72 Catfish blues is a very old traditional whose roots cannot be determined for sure since its origins predate the beginnings of commercial recordings, that is before the ~1920s. It's a great modal tune!

Jimi Hendrix did Catfish Blues but gave credit to Muddy Waters for it. Not sure why after hearing this. I love Muddy Watters n all, but seriously Jimi, this is superior.

@mystinger72 - Jimi covered it more in Muddy's style, but I agree this is a great version! Also check out the original, (or at least, first recorded) version by Robert Petway, its great too. Great song, lots of great versions by great artists!
