Lufia II AC - The Unfinished Floor Glitch

I ramble a bit on this one, but it's because I'm learning as I go along. This is a pretty rare glitch you'll find in the AC where the program doesn't finish creating the floor. I wonder if the mystery tile is from the title screen...

It would be cool to make a map of this glitch by placing a marker on the tv where maxim is (because he's always in the center of the screen) and drawing each step mapping out the blackness.

@iHooDoo - great idea, but it would be so tough to do because the area of the blackness is absolutely immense.

Those HP spaces and monsters make me think that there must be stairs in there somewhere. Chances of finding it would be really slim, but with enough exploring it might be possible. What an odd glitch.

@JMFSpike - I was hoping to find stairs! But I was also hoping to engage an enemy while recording or find a chest to open. It would be nice to know if you search around long enough if you can get to the next floor.

Hilariously enough I'm fairly sure that tile is FROM the sunken shrine or another of the submarine entrances. The shade of blue doesn't look like a town water tile.

I have yet to encounter this glitch. But I hope I do as I'm making a video full of Lufia II glitches. So far I've got the 2 walk on air glitches in Doom Island but thats it. I don't have the Sunken Shrine glitch cos my game has that glitch fixed.

Fralinur: I highly doubt you could. In theory, it'd be possible, but you would have to know where the stairway is.

I ran into this in one of my runs as well (there's an archived thread on Gamefaqs about it), though I don't remember if I had a staircase on the floor it happened on. I believe I left soon after running into it though.

Didn't watch the whole vid but have you considered that the stairs are still in this level, but you just can't see them in the darkness? Because when you wandered around in the darkness it looked like you were walking inside actual rooms with walls which you just couldn't see? Maybe the stairs are also somewhere^^
