Pakistan Told To Turn Up Taliban Fight

The Barack Obama administration is turning up the pressure on Pakistan to fight the Taliban inside its borders, warning that if it does not act more aggressively the U.S. will send in Special Operations forces and increase drone attacks into other parts of Pakistan, American and Pakistani officials say.

drone attacks can't differeniate between the innocent civilians and militants. To isolate militants you need to win the heart of local people and you cant do that by killing their dear ones.

ofcourse thats what every country should be doing and thats what we are trying to do by sending our troops in swat and south waziristan and bearing all the brunt as a result of that but drone attacks are not helping in that. It is having reverse effect because then it becomes foreign occupation and give the legitimacy to the local tribes to keep the arms to fight the foreign occupation.

You should have never allow your country to fight a proxy war for the USA, if that is what you mean, disarm the warlords and civilians then see if there is peace. In Post War 2 Germany we diarmed the populace and military.

Do I need to remind you sir that who have created these warlords? It was USA using them against Russia and US want them to finish them in seconds? And mind you we do care about east inch of our country and will do what ever we can to save it.

one thing is crystal clear and written on the wall that USA is not going to win this war. At the end either it ll have to do the truce with Afghan Taliban or failing that have to face the fate of Russia. This war is not sustainable both in terms of cost and causalities. If US get out now then it will save atleast Pakistan to fall into extremists hands. US existence fuelling the extremism in my country,Even the moderate or pro-west people are turning against US.
