The Northern Mantis systems are famous for their direct and effective techniques, which some say were derived from watching the movements of the praying mantis. Tai chi praying mantis is unique in that it incorporates the circular movements of tai chi chuan, using the strategy of turning the opponent's movements and energy against him. This style is famous for its seizing and locking techniques, and its arsenal of high and powerful kicks. Sifu Marquez introduces the viewer to the street combat aspects of this devastating system. Broken down into a series of clearly defined lessons, Marquez takes you step-by-step through each and every technique. With Marquez's unique teaching methods, the kung-fu you learn today, you can use today! To order this DVD: http://www.up-publications.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ID=2271.&PK=M84YTTM.

@Wynstorm3 Is it true that Sifu Marquez learned under Ark Wong the Five Families sets and Five Animals?
Mider999 1 year ago
@Mider999 That particular discipline was not part of sifu's regime when I was there, either in the Northern Praying Mantis or Southern Hung Gar as far as I recall. It may have changed though.
Feel free to contact his school personally to learn more.
What you refer to as "artery breaking" and "poison hand" aren't mystical at all, but the proper applicable striking of meridian points which are scientifically shown to exist in the body. Shaolin Lomita does teach this, with time.

@Wynstorm3 Do they teach Sanda or Sanshou? I like there list of arts but the poeple at bullshido say that artery breaking and stuff like that the poison hand is bullshit but then again bullshido is a horrible site full of haters who hate everyone
