@drfez100 That's news to me. I'll still love the music and the fond memories I have listening and watching this when I was younger (watching it now, I can't believe how I didn't notice how flamboyantly gay it is), but that's interesting to know. Will have to check that person out sometime.

Riverdance has nothing to do with Celtic music whatsoever. Listen to Michael O'Domhnaill achingly beautiful music for just one example. Riverdance, with its overblown pomp and cliched themes, is a million miles away. It's a Bill Whelan carry-on, and lacks any subtlety or intrinsic beauty - even Bill himself would know this!
