Biodata of Ven Sunan Sunantho Bhikkhu

Ven Sunantho was born in Catholic family in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Venerable was sent to Taiwan to study Mahayana Buddhism after the novice ordination in a Chinese Pure Land Temple in San Paulo, Brazil. But Venerable changed this mind later and received his Higher Ordination under Most Ven. Phra Thep Waraphorn, one of the highest Senior Monks in the Thai Mahasangha. This was the first time in history that a Theravada Ordination Ceremony was held in Taiwan.

Venerable left Brazil since April 2004 and travels to Taiwan, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Japan where Venerable was the Representative of Brazil in the World Buddhist Summit Supreme Conference to share his experience of Dhamma.
