Smokey the 12 year old cat from Pitsford has make it into the Guinness Book of World Records for having the loudest purr in the world.

Yes, and cats produce their purr using their diaphragm muscles along with the larynx. :) Our cat Caesar purrs so loud that his chest area above his diaphragm heaves in and out constantly, it's a sight to see! :) I would LOVE for him to meet Smokey, because our Caesar's purr is a much deeper sound, the 2 of them together would make a great youtube video :)
