The motion control works very well once you learn how you have to hold the Wiimote and nunchuk for each gesture for the banishments. I got a bit frustrated in the first hour or so but then figured it out. Now the rarely are a problem and sometimes are fun to do. Ontop of banishments refill some health. 7.5 from me.

Cursed Mountain was one of the first more complex games the developer (Sproing Vienna) made and the first Survival / Horror game they developed (it was for Deep Silver).
It's more than understandable that they used elements that already worked for other titles. Since it was their first game in that genre they also had to take a risk when trying different approaches. Some things worked out and some other things did not. They created stunning art for a relatively weak platform. So props for that.

I didn't have any problems using the Lag Pa actually, and I didn't have alot of problems banishing ghosts once I figured out how to hold the controller. You have to hold the controller vertically when you move them forward.

The controls weren't bad, they were just explained very poorly in the game. Make sure to hold the wiimote and the nunchuck straight up and down vertically for the push gestures. Like you are holding an umbrella handle or a torch. Also, make sure you wait a split second between gestures. Be very deliberate with the moves. This should increase how often they register quite a bit though they will still screw up now and then. Mostly on the nunchuck.

There was nothing wrong with the motion controls. If you move BOTH the wiimote and the nunchuk in the direction of the arrows, it works every time. If you only move one at a time they don't work. I never had a problem with the motion controls. Try doing this and then give the game a fairer score.

What? i didnt have problems with the motion control at all in the game, save for summoning the ghost in the temple and entering the Bardo everything was fine. Then again maybe the european version (the one i played) fixed the problems.
