It's not exactly true that he would have won the championship. If you combine his points and the points Kenny scored as a substitute driver, they were more than the total required to win the championship. However, that assumes he would have won every round that Kenny did, and I don't think that would have been the case. Brandon has yet to have a full season as good as the 3/4 season Kenny did in '03. Its more accurate to say if dad had driven the whole season he probably would have won it all.

Wierd I've never seen a replay of it other then when it happened. The NHRA doesn't want that out there for some reason. The look on Scott Kalittas face told me...something was sticking out of Russells head.
