  • That was extremely helpful- thanks for clearing it up! I knew some of this, but it's so hard to navigate this aspect ratio stuff... It was hard enough [sort of] wrapping my head around video resolutions.

    Anyway, I'll be sure to recommend this to anyone who needs clarification on what all those ratios mean.

  • Cinemascope is more like 2.39:1 or 2.35:1. Not 2.37:1

  • @JWD96 Man, we've seen articles claiming different aspect ratios for Cinemascope, including some that conclusively had it as 2.37:1 for some titles in the 50s. That's why we said 'more or less'
