IED Attacks as documented in the data leak by from Julian Assange's Wikileaks overlaid on a NATO map of the area.

The green explosions are ones in which no one was hurt, yellow ones are injuries only, and red ones are fatal IEDs. On the death and injury tallies, the left column is friendlies (including both allied forces and civilians), and the right column is so-called "enemies".

BACKGROUND:
A massive leak of over 90-thousand secret U.S. military files has exposed cover-ups over the war in Afghanistan. The classified documents were handed to three newspapers by the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks by Julian Assange. They include reports on the deaths of hundreds of civilians, increased Taliban attacks, as well as NATO fears Pakistan and Iran are backing the insurgency.

A vote by the House of Representatives on emergency funding for the war in Afghanistan has revealed eroding support for President Barack Obama's war policy among members of his own Democratic Party. There were 102 Democrats voting against the $33 billion in war funding. That's more than three times the number of Democrats who voted against a similar funding bill in June 2009.
