This version of Longxiang Cao 《龍翔操》 or "Soaring Dragons" in English is from the Jiao'an Qinpu 【焦庵琴譜】 (1868) and is based on Zhang Ziqian's transcription. It is about dragons flying in the sky and tries to depict a scene of freedom and enjoyment of the dragons as they soar into the Heavens.
This piece is sometimes confused with the piece Longshuo Cao 《龍朔操》 ("Zhaojun's Lament") because of the similar name.
Musically, it is similar to Qiu Shui 《龝水》 ("Autumn Water") but the two are independent pieces in their own right.
Here, I play on silk strings.
it's awesome but you seem to be streaking too harshly... or is it the string? idk.
