First, I should mention I have the 4.8 and, second, I had the camera only about 4ft from the rear of the X so it's pretty loud.
I didn't do anything special other than replace the resonator with an x-pipe. The rest of the exhaust is stock. Go to xoutpost if you want to know more about your X5!
