Did everyone see the episode: "BATTLE STATIONS"?

The whalers threw a spear at the Sea Shepherds in an attempt to either hurt someone or puncture the inflatable and send everyone into the freezing ocean.

The Sea Shepherds have never tried to harm any of them like that.
The japanese were NOT defending themselves either. They were safe up in their big steel ship.

  • Whale meat is a delicacy. This is NOT for survival.

Whale meat sells for $64. per pound. So one Minke of 6 tons would make the whalers $768,000...

unless the meat is discovered to have high levels of mercury in it, then the heroes of Japan generously donate those batches to schools, to serve as lunches because they can't sell it.

The batches they do keep (and don't get SOLD) go bad in a warehouse and get dumped. Then they go out hunting for re-stock

  • The whaler ships have ONLY japanese persons onboard. The Sea Shepherd vessels have persons of multiple nations aboard, including japanese. This is the "representation effect".

  • There are japanese who are against whaling!!!

i get frustrated with them for not speaking up about it though. They should embrace courage and engage their government. Other peoples do it.

Look at the USA right now, with "Occupy Wall Street"!

  • @info145 Occupy Wall street is a bunch of pretentious college hipsters trying to act like the egyptians.

Please think before you speak, you pretentious fucktard.

  • Pretentious?

FACT: Commercial whaling was banned and made illegal in 1986.

FACT: Today, now that they're officially not allowed to kill Whales for food, the japanese kill 1000 per year for "scientific purposes".

FACT: Before 1986, when they were killing 2000 a year for food, the japanese killed 200 per year for "scientific purposes" and called it sufficient.

FACT: They take their SAME whale-hunting ships out to sea as before 1986, but now they have the word "Research" painted on the sides!

  • @info145 Like I Give a fuck.

At least they're not profiting from it.

  • Asia is totally a shit. We colonized them and taught them everything that we thought it was a right thing to do, but they learned nothing. It is because they are monkeys. Monkeys are intelligent, but not as clever as human beings. Human beings are doing right. We White people which are the human beings should hunt Asian Monkeys and we should teach them it is not a good thing to hunt down dolphins. Down syndrome comes from asian blood. They look like asian. White should marry with White.

  • Why did the japanese politicians demand the people start drinking water which was likely contaminated, just to "show the world" that things were quickly under control after the meltdown (when we all know it was NOT)?

No matter what anyone says or doesn't say, nature will do as it will. Period. My dislike of the whalers didn't make it happen, but i'm not required to feel bad for Ayukawahama being destroyed.

  • @revron77 Almost worse than the japanese...

Faroe whalers are sick bastards who are not killing Whales for food.

Faroe whalers are bully neanderthals who are not killing Whales for science.

Faroe whalers are doing it for SPORT... for fun!!!

As for the Sea Shepherds, the vessels have persons of multiple nations aboard. This is the "representation" effect.
