Jeffrey Goes To Leicester Square, from the album Stand Up. This song really cheers me up, I don't know why.

  • What I'd really like to know is who exactly (or inexactly) who "Jeffrey" was. This is one of several Tull songs with that name in the title.

  • mrfantastic, jeffrey is jeffrey hammond, a friend of ian anderson, and bassist of Jethro Tull for 4 years or so.

  • i love jethro tull especially stand up and benefit true genius!!

  • *Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond

  • And I always thought it was about me . . .

  • i just love this song. it has such a happy feel to it:) and what i imagine to be an feel of england that ian usually brings out best...

  • @Aqualung1989 Jeffery and Ian were schoolmates. Ian felt Jeffery was an underachiever. Ian would screw with him unmercifully.

  • @rc1965 balalaika, I meant : D

  • Ian Anderson is playing the balalakia on this one...very cool.
