This was an auction I did very recently for the Yorkville Common Pantry. They are located in New York City. We were doing a "Cash Call."

Just before I was to take the stage the chairperson for the Pantry was reviewing the event with me and told me they established 5 levels for donations, with the top one being $5000.00. However, she told me, they had never gotten anyone to donate that amount without a prearranged plant. They had better luck with the $2500.00 level.

She warned me the larger bidders from last year was absent this year and they were not expecting much this year. They were very concerned that no one would pledge.

The video tells a different story.
