Is Islam a strange and foreign religion? In this video I show that Islam is much closer to the hearts of non-Muslims than we think (especially to the hearts of Jews and Christians) and that we have much in common with Islam. I illustrate this by reviewing the Five Pillars (of Actions) in Islam. This lecture was delivered to an "Introduction To Islam" class of university students.
This is Part 1.
Enjoy.

@TheResilientAMAZIGH Well, not all Muslims know this. I believe it is controversial. It seems that Islam has its roots in pre Islamic history. Arabs worshiped Allah before Muhammad was born and the worship of one God was found first in Jews and Christian religion. Allah took over for Hubal the moon God and Muhammad singled out Allah as the one and only true God, but Allah used to be one of 360 pagan pre Islamic gods. I believe the crescent moon has its roots in that, but no Muslim will admit it
