I saw a pair of these mating for quite a few hours (we got out of the water, got back in.. and they had moved, but were still together basically on top of each other).. at least I think it was mating.. down in White's Landing in Catalina..

I've eaten the legs before (a long time ago), and they were okay, but not as good as like a king crab or a stone crab or something like that.

Thats a Sheeps crab. Sheeps crab. (Loxorhynchus grandis) They get quite large.
