@JWZ308 OH, one thing I forgot, today so many people in the crowds are holding there phones filming not clapping. Phones like that did not exist in the 70's.

@JWZ308 I actually thought he meant it as a way to get people more into it as a general comment that he says often to. The audio might not properly represent the crowd noise also. I mean I remember going to concerts like Boston, Foghat and Joe Walsh all playing at the same concert in the 70's and man, Black Sabbath also. I am not saying that was necessarily better because they were very dangerous. At the Black Sabbath concert on the subway the many police just backed away

@Marly61 Ive seen a lot worse unlively crowds than this. he asks that to the crowds all the time, watch other concerts.

The crowd was dead, nothing like the crowds in the 70's, no wonder he asked "Philly are you still out there?"

i was there in jan of 09 and when they played this i sounded like when the sandman from ecw comes out and the crowd sings it.. fucking amazing! greatest concert ever!
