Do you know the meaning of the name Alexander? Do you? I am Greek and I am able to understand it with my language, are you? The name is coming from the Greek words alexo (αλέξω) means I protect and andras (άνδρας) mean man. So Alexander (Αλέξανδρος) is the man who protects or the protector of the men.
