Some drive-bys of Equilibre, early january 2009.
The music is played by Jerry while watching the video. I must admit his guitar skills are more akin to Dave Lister than David Gilmoure, but at least he enjoyed it and I won't have some mail from BGM or whatnot about taking down the video due to the awfull lot of money I am robbing them of by using some copyrighted track. As someone at slashdot nicely said : I'm upping my standards, up yours.
Besides, you can still turn down the volume.

What ever happened to the beautiful green sail you had?

That was lost in 2003 when my bro capsized due to a rusty winch. There is talk about a new sail though, and, probably , it won't be white :)

I'm afraid my brother would disagree. Equilibre is a great prao, we're very proud of it and we enjoy sailing with it. Nevertheless, I don't think we would claim to have "the greatest modern proa on Earth". Too many other great proas sailing lately. Check out the boats by the Guillard Family, jZero, Harry Proas, just to name a few. And then you have the upcoming "Gaia's Dream" by Inigo Wijnen which really shapes up to be spectacular.

So .. thanks again, but we decline the title :)

I do have high hopes for Mr Wijnen's project. I am familiar with all of the examples you gave. The burning question in my mind regarding Proas is how does one BALANCE the traditional with the inovative. In this, you are a STAR. Keep up the good work!
