@SupaHead1977 I think Aretha fared better than Whitney in that she did not ruin her vocal cords with crack and mariuana. Aretha has a better musical ear than Whitney and knows which songs to sing and doesn't try to go overboard and sings at her current level which by the way is getting better.

I love Aretha!!! I wish she would have protected her voice better than what she did....We hear how Whitney sounds now...when back in the day, Whitney had a voice to die for...but its like now she just don't have that same texture and authority in her voice and Aretha to me fell into the same catorgory.
