steam train at speed 9

The late running No. 850 'Lord Nelson' digs in to climb the gradient east of Andover on 13 June, 2007 - and in the process lets a few sparks fly. I had changed the camera to 'nightshot' - unfortunately removing the colour in the process.

i remember seeing something just like this on the tracks behind my house as a child. although i'm not sure if it was steam or not, as it was the early 70's.

well, they could have been grinding the rail joints! Not many steam movements in the 70s - Flying Scotsman and a few others - all depends where your tracks were!
