You folks proclaiming to be "pro gun" and at the same time being in favor of licensing restrictions crack me up. The only gun permit I need is the SECOND AMENDMENT. What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?

@912patriotJW Unfortunately, you are wrong and naive, and probably uneducated. The U.S. Supreme Court (as recently as a year ago in rulings upholding gun rights in Chicago and D.C.) stated that reasonable restrictions are constitutional. And one of those reasonable restrictions is in regard to CCW. No state or federal constitution (including Alaska) gives anyone the RIGHT to carry concealed. It is a regulated priviledge.

I wonder if Cox is enjoying jail. I hope he gets used to it. Sounds like he's gonna be there for a while.

@MyMaeve I know a lot more than what I see on TV my friend. And you've already shown by your ignorance that you don't really know the situation,or are blinded. And you most certainly insinuated that the FBI was out to get him that night. You know you did. And BTW, to this date the only federal "issues" with him involve his failure to pay taxes.
-
@oldmac1 I didn't say that this particular time the FBI were involved, I told you why he and his wife wore body armor. You know no more than what you see on TV or in the mainstream news. I get my info from Schaeffer and his family and friends. Nuff said
-
@oldmac1 And you do? Doubtful . . . . when was the last time you talked with Schaeffer?
-
@MyMaeve Oh please. You absolutely have no idea what you are talking about. I wish people would at least agree to use the facts. There was no FBI. This was local police responding to a 911 hang up call at a residence. He showed up there and physically inserted himself into the investigation. Asked at least twice not to interfere, he continued. Officers were very respectful to him. Too bad he was not. The video (audio mostly) will likely be public soon as he goes to trial. Stay tuned.

@oldmac1 He wore body armour as he had information that the FBI were going to try to force him to fire at them so they could begin a seige on him and his family. His wife also wore it when they went out because they were facing gunfire at any time by the FBI. He was called into that situation with the police by the homeowner, as part of the Liberty Bell network that he and other Patriots set up to protect each others' rights. Please send me a link to that particular video showing the situation.

@MyMaeve Really? He's sitting in jail on charges of conspiring to kill state judges and state patrol troopers in Alaska -- based significantly on comments he made in two separate open forums.
He was not present in March 2010 to "calm the situation." I've seen the video and heard the audio. He inserted himself into a police investigation of a 911 hang up. He was not "calming" anything. He showed up looking for a fight (armed and wearing body armor) He's a fraud
-
@MyMaeve Oh please. You're full of hogwash.

@oldmac1 HERE'S THE FUNNY THING. LOOK AT THE DATE THAT I FIRST POSTED THIS. A YEAR AGO!! AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! HE'S NO IN JAIL PENDING CHARGES OF CONSPIRING TO KILL JUDGES AND LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. (AND NOT FEDS, STATE JUDGE JUDGES AND ALASKA STATE TROOPERS)
GOD DAMN I'M GOOD!!!!
Being that this is my channel I would like to ask everyone that posts comments here to please exercise respect and decency for all who post opinions here. This is a war of ideas and no one will be won over by insults and slander. It is through kind respectful reasoning and prayer that the hearts and minds of men are won over to the cause of freedom. We must avoid the appearance of fanaticism by controlling our emotions in such an emotionally driven climate. We must master ourselves first.

Hey THere's Schaeffer Cox!! The "man" who just pleaded guilty to assaulting his wife (hitting and choking her) in front of their child and then threatening to kill his wife. GREAT
oldmac1 1 year ago
@oldmac1 You can say what you want about Schaeffer, and I agree that behavior like that is despicable, but the principles of freedom that he and many others talk about are sound. I don't say that in any way to absolve him from his actions but to point the focus back to where it needs to be and that is the ideas and principles of FREEDOM!

@alaskansamurai1 So if his behavior is despicable (he beat and choked his wife in front of their child) is he the right man to put himself out there as the poster child for this cause? He discredits everything you stand for, and this is only the tip of the iceberg with this guy. A man who shows violence toward his own family should not lecture us on "nonviolent" resistence to what we don't like about government! It's a crock. HE is a fake.

Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner. I can see an "awful" lot of poorly thought out comments were posted after our little discussion. To answer your question about whether Schaeffer Cox should be the poster child for this movement I would say the answer would be a resounding NO. We should never follow a MAN because they are fallible as we can see here, but his actions do not change the real issue of our freedoms and liberties having been slowly and now very quickly being stripped away.
