"The N.A.A.C.P. suit against New Yorky City is proof of how low a great civil rights organization has fallen since its days of advocating for racial equality in the face of tremendous hatred.
At no point in the past would one have expected the NAACP to try to halt the creation of schools that have helped so many black children succeed. As Geoffrey Canada and others have pointed out, the suit threatens the schooling of thousands of children in New York." --Stanley Crouch, New York Daily News
I know this post is four months old, and I doubt you've even thought about it for quite some time. That being said, did you really compare those who might question the motivations of teacher unions to Nazis? The school system is at critical mass. No offense, but the union has taken the stance that a teacher is a teacher, no matter how incompetent. If the unions do not start accepting some real responsibility, eventually no one will stand with them. Davis Guggenheim directed this, not Glen Beck!
The school problem will never change because teacher's unions are a Democrat Party constituency group. No matter what the patter, it really isn't "for the children".Teacher's unions pledge millions to Democrat politicians all over the nation and for that money they get job security no matter how bad they are and their outrageous demands met with little resistance. $7000.00 more year more than a private school to teach one student? See the autoworkers union and see the teacher's union.
@MsJanetWood Wow you are really a piece of work. Who wronged you? Oh i know it's pretty obvious you are one of those teacher that the wonderful Michelle Rhee let go. It's a shame isn't it?
My son's private school cost $5,500 per student per year. The local public school cost $12,000 per student per year. Give the education tax dollars to the parents not the public schools. FREE THE PUBLIC SCHOOL KIDS!!! Let them go already. FREEDOM!!!

@MrJammer90 If he quit his job they'd have to find someone else to run his school.
It pays to know a bit about who you are criticizing before making foolish remarks.

@nwest2fly Hitler killed 6 million Jews. He blamed them for all of Germany's problems.

@nwest2fly
First they came for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up, because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me.
