i cant even get hammer ons to work or tapping for me, is there a certain part of ur finger u use or a certain spot on the fret u tap or what? this comment is only for the begining cuz u got that to stay for such a long time

@futurerev21 well, when you hammer on and go to pull off, you very slightly pull the string with your "pull off" finger so that it makes the string vibrate, and that's how you keep hamering on and pulling off without having to pick the string with your other hand. It's hard to explain but you'll find a sweet spot that will work

@OfficiallyGuffey Well, given the nature of Ratatat's music, I could just sit here and play the guitar part with no backing music but that would sound quite incomplete being that their songs are layers upon layers of accompanying instrumentation...

I have to do "play alongs" with my own music when I play shows, and Ratatat does the same at their shows playing to backing tracks, so what can you do? I mean it's like that for any electronic artist, and especially solo artists like myself.
