Protein Synthesis, DNA Replication

DNA replication is the process of copying a double-stranded DNA molecule to form two double-stranded molecules.[1][2] The process of DNA replication is a fundamental process used by all living organisms as it is the basis for biological inheritance. As each DNA strand holds the same genetic information, both strands can serve as templates for the reproduction of the opposite strand. The template strand is preserved in its entirety and the new strand is assembled from nucleotides — this process is called "semiconservative replication". The resulting double-stranded DNA molecules are identical; proofreading and error-checking mechanisms exist to ensure near perfect fidelity.

  • Wanda, people like you give religion a bad name.

By your spelling, it also looks like you have never gone any further than junior high.

  • Thanks do much!

  • @Wanda4DecentValues And so if DNA and evolution are such ridiculous and preposterous ideas with absolutely no logical grounding, I wonder how you find it so easy to believe that a magical zombie Jew called Jesus rocked up on Earth's doorstep by the word of a magic man in the sky, who created man from dirt and women from bone some few thousand years ago, and apparently planted dinosaur bones in the ground to deceive us from the "truth". You need to re-evaluate what's bull and what makes sense.

  • @Wanda4DecentValues Do you also believe in the tooth fairy and santa claus? Please send me an email with your opinion on this important matter

  • @Wanda4DecentValues I want you to take in the information of peoples thoughts on your comment little by little, so i won't comment on how without proof you are, bad you are at spelling, how you give religion a bad name, or how you hide your self from another's thoughts.

  • @Wanda4DecentValues I don't think its right to talk this way. you can keep your beliefs to your self but it isn't right for you to say it is the one truth. isn't is possible for the human race to coexist without constant of people saying they are right, or arguing over who is better.

  • excellent explanation...

@wanda, u can be a biologist and a christian...wat matters is in wat perspective u luk @ things.

  • @Haasanator Haasanator, people like you give people like Wanda the motivation to keep being MASSIVE trolls. Nobody calls DNA "DNA creatures" and in my life I have not seen truth misspelled like that. It's a word you see everyone, you would have to literally be trying (AHA!) to misspell things in order to spell it wrong. And bringing up evolution in the same comment? Please. Wanda is retarded, yes - but serious? No.

Moral: Please don't reply to comments like that. It's their food.

  • Wow, this is great. I used to watch these PBS shows all the time when I was a little kid. I can't believe PBS stop showing such quality educational programming. I learned so much biology before I got to high school.

  • @Wanda4DecentValues definitly God vists u while u sleep n stretch u to grow , not? XD . All kinds of Religions are illusions created by Humans so i wonder how clever those people in past were. Why dont i reate a religion myself? XD

  • wahahhaahha i love science lesson namin 2 ngaun eh...
