@daredevilpre Gregs title history is rather sparce, according to wikipedia he only held the AWA TV Title (twice) and the AWA Tag Titles w. Jim Brunzell (also twice). Currently he's a sales manager for a Minnesota auto dealership and runs a wrestling school along with Brunzell and Buck Zumhoff.

did Greg Gagne ever hold the light heavy weight title?
If not, why the hell not? He could have been 10 times lh champ, with tag title reigns once in a while. Fans would have accepted that and the lh title would have been elevated in status.

A tag team of Brad Rheingans and, Bob Backlund as a patriotic,( but in the out of date style) heel team would have been interesting, especially if they were angry at the fans for going against them. Their style could have been an aggressive amateur influenced style with throws and, take downs, with lot's of punches and, kicks thrown in. Give them a good manager too.
