Why are apartment managers so crazy?
I can't eat with these things!
Look what I found!
Why Pride?

  • I wonder if you let it dissolve in your coffee will it make it thick like corn starch does. There could be a whole new show, Cooking with Cutlery :)

  • Well, we do know that it doesn't disolve in just plain water because we tried that for two days. Coffee on the other hand....hmmmm, I shall give it a try.

  • I saw those utensils on a show somewhere. They cost just a little more than plastic. They also make containers out of that stuff. It's wonderful because they decompose in the Earth. Oh man, you're gonna move. We will have to get used to a new background!!

  • Beth: And with all the waste that goes on at Microsoft, it really does make sense.

We're not moving until September, so you'll still be seeing the blue and yellow for a bit longer :)

  • Lesli: It will all work out. We were looking at moving this fall but this was just the little nudge we needed. We found a place, just around the corner actually, and it won't be much more and will be much bigger. WooHoo!

And yes, $20 is nice. I haven't found a bill that large in a very long time.

  • Susan: I hope we can find one with a balcony. There are a couple of units we want to see, it really depends on the area of town and how much they want for rent. But a balcony would be Most Excellent!

Yes, the spoons don't look like they would hold much soup. And if I did eat soup with them, the spoons would melt anyway, so either way, I don't think it works very well.

Yup-the Stonewall Riots. Now for the bonus question: Do you know what they were "rioting" about?

  • I used to really want to buy a house, but if I did that, I would have to move somewhere MUCH more affordable. And I would rather rent and have fun then buy and eat Ramen Noodles for the next 20 years.

We don't do much for pride. We will probably go out on Saturday then go to the parade on Sunday-nothing too crazy. And it's supposed to be in the mid 80's which will be our first taste of summer.

  • Joanie: Some people think 90 is nothing. Me, I think it is waaay to much especially since they haven't really fixed anything around here.

And I agree-it's play money. But how to play with it. Probably dinner on Friday evening.

The silverware is a little wierd, but they do go through too much waste so I can understand why they made that choice. And I will take lots of pictures to put up. Have a great rest of your week and Shawn says hello right back!

  • $90 - wow, that seems like a big increase! At least it made your decision to move a lot easier! A $20 bill! Cool, remember, found money is PLAY money - not to be spent on bills. Compostable silverware just sounds wrong. yuck. Can't wait to hear the answer on how Pride got started! Have fun at the parade, take lots of pictures, it sounds like a blast! Love you sweetie, hugs to Shawn!

  • Joyce: That would just be too hard to get attached to the puppies and then have to take them back. But it's a great service.

The apartment is small - cozy is the word they use. But it has worked this long. We are looking forward to having an actual hallway. Just the simple things.

    Yes, and knife--tee hee.

I'll tell everybody this weekend. Have a good one!
