Here is a short clip of the Russ Morgan Orchestra performing "Am I Proud," a song written by Teddy Powell and Leonard Whitcup especially for this film. The singer is Carolyn Clarke. This short was first released on video in the early 1980's by Swing Time Video.

  • Seen his son's orchestra many times. Once at the top of the Dunes and another time at the Plaza.

  • Great!!!

  • A great clip of Russ Morgan's Orchestra...one of the tops of the day.....Although this song went nowhere, it gives a good idea of the richness of the Morgan Orchestra and the care that went into its arrangements...something to listen to at every turn...

  • Carolyn Clarke is darling. My father, Red Borland, played trumpet with Russ Morgan's orchestra. Maybe they played together (your mom and my dad) I'm sure that film is a treasure to you...Mary

  • Thank you for putting this clip on you tube! Carolyn Clarke was my mother. Although i have about a dozen recordings she did on the Brunswick and Decca labels, I did not know any film footage of her with Russ Morgan's band existed.
